OSCR provides new guidance for charity trustees

The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator has published updated guidance detailing the duties of charity trustees.

Download the latest guidance from OSCR’s website; you can also read about OSCR’s reasoning behind the process on their news pages.

The basic guidance hasn’t changed, and it continues to explain what the law says trustees must and mustn’t do, but OSCR has rewritten its publications with clearer language, practical examples and links to sources of advice and insight. This follows a consultation process with charities to understand how the guidance could be improved.
