Graduate Recruitment
You have already decided that accountancy is the career for you and there are a wide range of training options and firms to choose from, so it is important that you make the right choice.
CA Training information: the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) CA qualification is the key to a successful career in all areas of business covering public practice, industry, commerce and the public sector; both in the UK and abroad. The strength of the CA qualification lies in the high standard of achievements that a trainee gains over a 3 year training period. A wide range of skills and disciplines are developed through a mixture of practical classroom study tested through the ICAS examination process, and the successful completion of targets related to work-based experience.
ACCA Training Information: the ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Qualification offers accounting knowledge, skills and professional values which will help finance professionals build successful careers across all sectors, whether they are working in the public or private sectors, practising in accounting firms, or pursuing a career in business. The ACCA Qualification follows the standards set by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). There is a strong focus on professional values, ethics, and governance.
CTA Training Information: the Chartered Institute of Taxation administers the qualification for Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), which is regarded as the 'gold standard' among tax professionals. The CTA is the 'badge of competence' universally recognised in the profession.
